Antero Svensson (1892–1946) was a Finnish jaeger general who is especially known for his actions as the commander of the forces capturing the city of Sortavala in the Continuation War in 1941. For this he received the highest military honor of the Finnish armed forces, the Mannerheim Cross. Later Svensson was promoted to major general. He took part as a guest of honor in the annual celebrations of the liberation of Sortavala in 1942 and 1943 while the city was in Finnish hands.
